Shore Points Capital's lead principals have over 20 years of financial and 15 years of equity investment experience in middle market companies with strong track records and have worked together for 11 years. Shore Points Capital professionals bring a breadth of experience in a variety of business sectors and transaction structures.

Steve Alexander, Managing Partner
Steve Alexander, a founding partner of Shore Points Capital, brings more than 24 years of private equity and merchant banking experience to the firm. Steve originated, and from 1989 to 2006 headed up, Paribas' and BNP Paribas' private equity investment activities for North America. He originated and executed equity investments in a variety of sectors, including media, electronics, specialty chemicals, business services, restaurants and healthcare services. On behalf of Shore Points Capital or BNP Paribas, he served or serves as a board member or board observer of numerous companies, including ARGI; Loftware; Breckwell; TSD Rental; Alabama Outdoor Advertising; Special Devices, Inc.; Reilly Corporation; Nursefinders; Astra and Huddle House.
Steve also co-founded the predecessor to the Paribas Merchant Banking Group in 1985, becoming sole head in 1990. He established the National Merchant Banking Group in 1995, with more than 40 professionals and offices in New York, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco. As part of Paribas' merchant banking activities, Steve was responsible for overall business development of Paribas' leveraged finance activities in the U.S., including the launch of Paribas Capital Funding, a $750 million collateralized debt-obligation fund.
Before joining BNP Paribas in 1983, Steve worked at Chase Manhattan Bank in the Global Specialized Industries sector.
Steve received a B.A. degree with honors and an M.B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ed Irwin, Managing Partner
Ed Irwin, a founding partner of Shore Points Capital, brings more than 16 years of private equity and merchant banking experience to the firm. From 1996 to 2006, at BNP Paribas, Ed originated and executed equity investments in a variety of sectors, including software, electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, power equipment, restaurants and supply chain management. On behalf of Shore Points Capital or BNP Paribas, he served or serves as a board member or board observer of Loftware Inc.; ARGI; SirsiDynix; TSD Rental; Breckwell; Turner Brothers; Global Power Equipment; OK International; Hawaii Superferry and Racal Electronics.
Before helping form the Private Capital Group at BNP Paribas, Ed was a team leader and senior deal originator with the BNP Paribas Merchant Banking Group, making senior and subordinated loans to, and equity investments in, leveraged middle-market companies.
Before joining BNP Paribas, Ed worked for 12 years at Chase Manhattan Corporation, most recently as a Principal and founding member of Chase Capital, Chase's original private equity investing group (a predecessor to JP Morgan Partners). In addition to his experience at Chase Capital, Ed worked in Chase's Merchant Banking Group, the Recovery and Restructuring Group and Operations Management.
Ed received a B.A. degree from Harvard College and an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Walt Bellingham, Principal
Prior to the formation of Shore Points Capital in 2006, Walt originated equity investments, equity co-investments, senior and subordinated loans since joining BNP Paribas in 1997. Walt has originated equity investments in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, business services, energy services and restaurants. On behalf of BNP Paribas, he served as a board member or observer of North American Energy Partners, Propex Holdings, Polaris Pool Systems, Stauber Performance Ingredients, Transport Labor Contract/Leasing and Triumph Healthcare.
Before helping form the Private Capital Group at BNP Paribas, Walt worked with the BNP Paribas Merchant Banking Group where he originated senior and subordinated loans and equity co-investments for leveraged middle market companies. Walt also had five years of prior experience at the Chase Manhattan Corporation's Middle Market Structured Finance Group. At Chase, Walt specialized in financing and investing in leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and ESOPs. In addition to his experience at Chase, Walt worked at Hartz Mountain Industries, a New Jersey based real estate developer.
Walt received a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.

Judy Keane, Principal
Since the formation of Shore Points Capital and previously as part of BNP Paribas, Judy has executed equity investments in a variety of sectors, including supply chain software, database services, pharmaceutical, crane and rigging, packaging, healthcare, specialty chemical and library automation industries since 2000. On behalf of Shore Points Capital, she serves as a board member or observer of Loftware Inc. and ARGI. Before the formation of the Private Capital Group at BNP Paribas, Judy was an originator in the BNP Paribas Merchant Banking Group, where she made senior loans to, and equity investments in leveraged middle-market companies.
Before joining BNP Paribas, Judy held various positions at Credit Lyonnais, most recently as a vice president in the Equity Research Department. In addition, she originated and syndicated corporate and real estate loans in Credit Lyonnais' Hotel Finance Group. Before joining Credit Lyonnais, Judy worked for five years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in various capacities, including as a Credit Analyst.
Judy received a B.A. degree in Mathematics from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. degree in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Michael Miller, Principal
Since the formation of Shore Points Capital in 2006, Mike has originated equity investments in the software and branded manufacturing industries. On behalf of Shore Points, Mike serves as a board member of TSD Rental and Breckwell. Prior to joining BNP Paribas in 2005, Mike served as a founding member of Sorenson Capital, a middle-market private equity firm led by NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young and several former Bain Capital professionals. While with Sorenson Capital, Mike evaluated and executed a number of transactions in the services, manufacturing, and technology industries.
Before joining Sorenson Capital, Mike served as the Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Finance at Found, Inc., an enterprise software company providing inventory management solutions to major retailers. In this capacity, Mike formed strategic partnerships and successfully raised corporate and institutional private equity investments from a number of firms including Bain Capital, Accel KKR, and Simon Property Group. Found, Inc. subsequently combined with CRS Retail Systems, which was later acquired by Epicor Software.
Prior to joining Found, Inc., Mike was a member of the Global Technology Investment Banking Group at UBS, where he worked on numerous public and private equity transactions, including the first institutional financing for Found, Inc.
Mike received a B.A. degree from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from NYU.

Daniel Clark, Principal
Since the formation of Shore Points Capital and previously, as part of BNP Paribas, Dan Clark has executed equity investments in the software, transportation, and branded manufacturing industries. On behalf of Shore Points Capital, Dan serves as a board member or observer of Breckwell, TSD Rental, and Loftware. He joined BNP Paribas in 2004 with a strong background in the IT industry as well as a wide variety of professional experience in the media, education and non-profit industries.
Dan holds a B.A. degree in English and Physics from Rutgers College, Rutgers University and an M.S. degree in Physical Oceanography from Dalhousie University. He received his M.B.A. degree from the Honors Program at the Zicklin School of Business at Bernard M. Baruch College.
